Charlotte M. Rodeen-Dickert, born in 1971 in Oakland, California, joined West & Associates in 2004. Ms. Rodeen-Dickert
is an associate with West & Associates and is primarily responsible for patent prosecution in the mechanical and
bio-mechanical arts, as well as trademark prosecution. She also counsels clients regarding patents, trademarks,
copyrights, licensing, and related intellectual property matters.
Ms. Rodeen-Dickert holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from University of California, Berkeley (1993), and a J.D.
(with honors) from Golden Gate University School of Law (2004).
Prior to
joining West & Associates, Ms.
Rodeen-Dickert was a senior technical writer in the Engineering Group at the University of California Office
of Technology Transfer. Prior to that, she was a physics and mathematics instructor with Holy Names High School
in Oakland, CA. While in law school, Ms. Rodeen-Dickert worked as a legal intern with the Electronic Frontier
Foundation and also served as a judicial extern in the United States District Court for the Northern District
of California.
Ms. Rodeen-Dickert is licensed to practice law in California (2005) and is registered to practice before the
United States Patent and Trademark Office (2001).
Ms. Rodeen-Dickert is the co-chairperson of the San Francisco chapter of the Licensing Executives Society
(LES) and a member of the American Bar Association (ABA) and the Contra Costa County Bar Association (CCCBA).
She is also an Adjunct Professor at Golden Gate University School of Law, where she teaches patent prosecution.
